If you were to pursue a program of study that is longer than two years, for instance a three year or a four-year bachelor’s degree program, at the end of the four years of study, you are still going to be eligible for a three-year work permit. This is similar to the work permit you would get if you completed a two-year study program. Hence, you might get more value from completing a two-year study program and then getting your three-year post-graduate work permit upon completion of that program.

You can verify this through the Canadian government’s website. You can check to see which learning institutions are designated and you can also find out what their DLI numbers are.
Once you have verified that your school of choice is a designated learning institution you can then proceed to apply. Additionally, you will need to obtain a letter of acceptance from the designated learning institution that you will use when making your application for a study permit.
